1. Who we are and what this policy covers
SoHiTech (“we”, “us”) operates Smiley Roll, an arcade game in which you dodge hazards and collect points. This policy covers the Android game (com.topcatgames.smileyroll) and these game privacy and request pages on cashcaw.com. Other cashcaw.com services may have separate policies. You can reach us through the privacy contact form.
2. Information used by the game
On your device
The game stores your best score and sound-effects volume on your device so they remain available between sessions. Your current score and gameplay state are used while you play. These local preferences do not, by themselves, identify you to us. Clearing the game's app storage removes its local preferences. Device or operating-system backup settings may separately preserve or restore app data.
Online accounts and leaderboards
The version covered by this policy stores game progress locally and does not connect to an online leaderboard or create an account with us. If you used a different version that connected to Google Play Games, our deletion page also explains how to remove game data held by Google.
Information the game does not request
The game does not request your precise location, camera, microphone, contacts, SMS messages, health information, or payment details. It does not contain advertising, in-app purchases, chat, or a developer-operated cloud-save service. We do not use separate advertising, Firebase Analytics, or Crashlytics SDKs in the version covered by this policy. Collectible coins and gems are gameplay points, not purchases or currency with cash value.
3. Privacy requests and website information
If you submit a request, we collect your contact email, request type, any optional player reference and message you provide, a request reference, timestamps, and our handling outcome. We use this information only to respond, verify ownership where needed, locate relevant records, and manage your privacy request. You do not need to register, install the game, or sign in to use this form. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, government identification, or payment information.
The website uses essential session and security cookies to protect the form and show your receipt. Hosting infrastructure processes connection information such as IP address, requested path, time, browser information, and response status to serve and secure the site. An IP-based request limit helps prevent abuse; the request database does not store your IP address or browser identifier. These pages do not embed advertising, analytics trackers, external fonts, or social widgets.
4. Why we use information
We use information to remember settings, run gameplay, answer requests, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you request, legitimate interests in security and support, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where required. You can withdraw consent where processing depends on it; this does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
5. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information, rent it, or use it for targeted advertising. Our hosting and database providers process website and request information to operate these pages. Our email provider processes correspondence when we reply. Only authorized people who need to handle a request should access it. We may disclose limited information when legally required or necessary to protect rights and prevent abuse. If operation of the game transfers to another owner, any transfer of personal information must remain subject to appropriate protections and required notice.
6. Retention and deletion
- Local scores and settings: remain on your device until you clear app storage or remove them through your device's controls. Backups are governed by your device and backup provider settings.
- Privacy request records and correspondence: are kept while your request is being handled and for up to 90 days after closure, then removed from active systems. We aim to respond within 30 days of receiving your request, or sooner where law requires. If verification, an allowed extension, or a legal restriction affects the result, we will explain it.
- Routine website security logs: are retained for up to 30 days. Relevant records may be isolated for longer if required to investigate an incident or comply with law.
- Backups: deleted developer-held records may remain in restricted backups for up to 90 additional days. They are not used for ordinary operations, and deletion is reapplied if a backup is restored.
If we must retain specific information for a legal obligation, dispute, or security investigation, we limit it to that purpose and retain it only as long as necessary. We explain relevant exceptions when responding, unless law prohibits doing so. We do not treat disabling an account or hiding a score as deletion.
7. Security and international processing
We use HTTPS for these pages, encrypt personal request fields in the database, and restrict access to the people handling requests. Local game preferences use device storage and should not be treated as encrypted secrets. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Service providers may process information in countries outside your country of residence; where applicable, we use the safeguards required by data protection law. Google's processing and transfer safeguards are explained in its own privacy policy.
8. Children and families
The game does not ask players to provide their age, real name, or contact details to play locally. A parent or guardian can contact us about a child's information using the same privacy form. If we learn that personal information was collected from a child without authorization required by applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to remove it. Google account and Play Games features are subject to Google's age eligibility and parental controls. Parents and guardians should use the applicable device and Google family settings.
9. Your choices and rights
You can clear local game data, manage any Google-held data through Google, and request deletion of information held by us. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, obtain a copy of, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data protection authority. Use the privacy request form to exercise rights or ask questions. We may ask for proportionate verification before disclosing or deleting another person's information; knowing a public gamer name alone is not proof of ownership. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights.
10. Changes to this policy
We update this page when practices or services change and show the revised date above. We provide additional notice or obtain consent where required before materially different processing begins.
